Shabad Hazaray is an emotional composition expressing deep yearning for the revered Guru. This poignant text was penned by Guru Arjan during a period of physical separation from his father, Guru Ram Das. In heartfelt letters, Guru Arjan conveyed his longing for the Blessed Vision of his beloved Guru.
Reciting this shabad facilitates a spiritual connection with one's beloved, delving into the profound sentiments of genuine love and the ache of separation. It vividly captures the heart's agony when fixated solely on union, leaving all other aspects devoid of significance.
The fourth segment was later added by Guru Arjan upon reuniting with Guru Ram Das.
Additionally, another composition known as Shabad Hazare Patshahi 10 exists, authored by the tenth master, Guru Gobind Singh, and can be found in the Dasam Granth.
